After packing up again yesterday, we said goodbye to beautiful Innisfail and the Far North and back-tracked a little back to Townsville today. We have had an awesome time in Innisfail, spending some quality time with more of our family, mainly Dwayne's parents and sister, Nikki, even getting to celebrate a birthday with her! We also used it as a great base to explore its incredible surrounding areas, and even with significant rainfalls we still managed to experience the beautiful tablelands, northern beaches and reef and up into the Penninsula as mentioned in previous blog entries.
We will spend Easter with Dwayne's parents in Townsville, firstly at a Christian Camp weekend, and then stay on a few more days and enjoy some time in Townsville. We are also eagerly waiting on the arrival of a new niece or nephew due any day now in Townsville (Dwayne's brother and family live here), hoping to meet them before we move on!
